About

東京生まれ、2001年武蔵野美術大学空間演出デザイン学科卒業。雑誌・音楽CD・PV、広告などのイラストを手がける。ベルギーの絵本作家キティ・クローザー、インドの出版社タラブックスのギータ・ウォルフより絵本制作を学ぶ。インスピレーションは植物・精霊、音楽。ビアトリクス・ポター、トーベ・ヤンソン、アストリッド・リンドグレーンの児童文学をこよなく愛する。

Maya Miyama was born in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University 2001, Learned about children's book from Belgian author illustrator Kitty Crowther and the represent of Indian Publisher Tara Books Gita Wolf. Colored pencil and pen, sometimes photoshop are mates for the creation.

She is still enchanted by the spirits, nature and music, then fall in love with Beatrix Potter, Tove Jansson, Astrid Lindgren, juvenile literature of Northern Europe since childhood.
